Hello, I'm planning to go to nyc to celebrate my birthday ! wanted to know about good waterside restaurants that have outside sitting and good music. Thanks for your help. -S
For good waterfront AND music you can try some of the places at the Sout Street Seaport: southstreetseaport.com/Direc... Definitely a good time. If you want to ventur out to actually have dinner on the waterfront with amazing views of NYC, try the Chart House in Weehawken, New Jersey: http://www.chart-house.com/ the food is excellent and the best views of NYC on any waterfront. Go to their "locations" and select NJ on the map. Then you can select Weehawken and check the views and menu. I love this place!

Finding a waterfront restaurant with outside seating and music is a tall order but maybe you'll find something perfect here: nymag.com/srch?t=restaurant&... Options off the top of my head (one offers outside seating, I don't know if either offers music) are River Cafe in Brooklyn, right under the Bklyn. Brdg and the Central Park Boat House (really only a lovely option during the day as the food is just 'ok' and the best part, the view, is completely lost in the evening.)
