Hello my NYC VT friends! Hoping to return to NYC May or June 2013, look forward to seeing some happy faces again!!!! We would like some opinions on hotels that have the best view of Chysler Building...our favourite building in the world!!! Price would probably mean that we could only do a one-night stay, but would love some ideas to research. Thanks in advance!!!! Betts xx

Also look at the Affina Shelburne: This one is supposed to have a rooftop bar/terrace with great views: affinia.com/New-York-City-Ho... As with the Marriott, views at all will depend on how high up the floor and desired side on the building. The Chrysler Building is an outstanding piece of architecture. I really enjoy walking by the building. From what I hear and what I saw in researching this is the Affinia Shelburne, located in the Murray Hill neighborhood between Gramercy and 42nd street, has some of the best if not the best views of the Chrysler Building based on how it is laid out and the reviews and pics on trip advisor. The views you will get are very close up but I would suggest talking to the hotel desk first before booking to make sure you get the room you want. Thanks for the replies...Affinia Shelbourne looks great. We will be sure to talk to them when we book to see about the view.... Hi Footstool...sorry I didn't get to meet you last December. We will be in NYC for a week but will be looking for a cheaper place to stay for all but one night.
