Hey all, I'm trying to go to NYC next summer. Browsing all the pages, I noticed that there is soooo much to see. And of course I wanna see it all and do it all. How long would you recommend me to go. I want to stay at least 4/5 days but no more. But I guess 2 weeks is too much of a good thing. Or is it?
I myself stayed 6 days in NYC... had a great time. Sure you will too! More than a week... I myself wouldn't recommend it if you're only interested in Manhattan. But I guess you could stay for more than a month and still you wouldn't have seen everything... Have fun! Ronald

You could not see half of the things you would want to see and do in Manhattan in two weeks. However, in a week, you could see much of must see things.

I go pretty much several times a month to NYC for the last 36 years (birth to now) and still haven't seen everything in this fantastic city. So no, I don't think 2 weeks would be overkill. You'd just start to get your bearings after about 2 weeks.

I stayed for a week, never venturing outside Manhatten. This was a great introduction, and certainly not a day too long.

I think two weeks would be too long. Too much of a good thing. If you stayed 4-5 days, you could see a lot, but you'd be a little rushed. A week would be perfect because you would get to see all the major attractions and still have time for a day trip or two outside the city. You'll have a fantastic time.

I have lived 55 miles from Manhattan for most of my life. I still find many new things to do there. There are plenty of things to do to keep you busy for awhile. If you can afford it, I would plan on staying there a week. The other week, I suggest touring some of the other East Coast areas.
