I arrive next week for 11 days and my hobby is fly fishing . From what I have searched so far Long Island lakes / ponds seem to be best for trout . Any advice or suggestions please?
A google search along the lines of "fly fishing long island" would work wonders.

Since you are there for 11 days, maybe you can take a couple of days to visit Connecticut. There are many places like Farmington river, which are known for fly fishing.
