thanks, Giora
There's so many you'd have to ask yourself which type per your own taste that you'd like.

the above NYTimes site should tell you plenty of what is now. If not the specialised link
http://www.newyorkcitytheatre.com/
should tell you all.
Enjoy it

Wow, such an endless amount of replies depending on what your likes are and what type of music you gravitate towards.
Ed and I are regular Broadway season holders for traveling shows as well as travel to NYC and London to see shows.
We've seen so many - all different.
There are always the old standby's such as Mama Mia, Wicked, Lion King, ,Annie, Phantom, Rock of Ages...
Don't discount Off Broadway shows - Peter and the Starcatcher, Avenue Q (HILARIOUS but very adult themed - NOT for children but one of our all time favorites), My Big Gay Italian Wedding...
Spiderman (we've not seen) nor Cinderella but getting rave reviews...
CHICAGO if you haven't see it on stage - wonderful...again, possibilities are endless and it all depends on your likes.

Depends on your tastes of course. I loved Avenue Q (already mentioned), was not impressed with Lion King (Beauty & The Beast was much better), didn't like Phantom either. Motown is hitting the theater next week, Mama Mia, and Jersey Boys based on real singers/musicians. Pippin is back, Chicago is still around, etc., etc. Check Time Out New York for reviews/details... http://www.timeout.com/newyork/theater. Enjoy!

we were in NYC a couple of months back and went theater hopping.. during weekdays ticket prices are lower.. so we went just before the start of show and see which cheapest tickets are available and grab them.. we watched Jersey Boys, they are awesome. We watched Evita too, but except for Rocky Martin, I think the show was so-so.. And I think Evita is no more showing. Enjoy whatever u choose.. u have loads to choose from..

Phantom is my all time favourite - I just love the music and don't think i will ever find anything i love as much! - I have seen it in London and NYC and it is so much better in the latter! Its a very personal thing - I would have a look whats on and see what you fancy - my husband likes Annie but I don't so all personal choice!

FANTASTIC, especially the 1st two I mentioned - much better than Phantom I think for both music as well as set design/theatrics.
