    • 4th of July

      Austin Apr 25, 2013 at 5:58 PM

Hello, Austin folks! We are going to be in town over the 4th of July. What's the best bet for fireworks? Also, we'll be staying downtown because our 16-yr-old son is going to a gaming thing at the Convention Center. Do we need a car to see the best that Austin has to offer? We'll be there from the 3rd to the 9th.

Thanks for any info and recommendations!

      Houston Apr 25, 2013 at 9:57 AM

Hi, we are relocating to Houston in the next few months and are looking at areas that have great schools and nice neighborhoods with low crime. Looking heavily at Friendswood or possible Mont Belvieu area. What can you tell me about the towns and schools? Thanks!

    • cheapest airport close to San Francosco

San Antonio May 6, 2013 at 9:46 AM

Planning a flight to San Francisco from San Antonio, possibly in July or August. Can a significant amount of money on airfare be saved by flying into an airport outside of San Francisco & then driving for around (up to) an hour to get to SF?

    • San Antonio/Austin or Surrounding Towns??

      Texas Apr 23, 2013 at 8:21 AM

      Hi,

My sister and I are planning a trip across the States in July and Texas is a must see for us.

We fly into Austin, have 3 days to explore and then fly out of San Antonio. We know we haven't got much time, but were just wondering if anybody had any advice on whether we should focus out trip in only Austin & San Antonio or hire a car for 2 days and explore the little towns in-between?

Also, we are are in Texas for the 4th July, any advice about where best to celebrate this day between the 2 cities or the smaller surrounding towns?

We would really appreciate any help anyone can offer.

I'm flying into the San Antonio airport in two weeks and need to find transportation to New Braunfels. I am meeting a friend there and will not be renting a car. Can anyone please advise if there is any type of shuttle that can take me there? I will either need to go into the center of town or to a hotel near Seguin Ave and I-35. I'm not sure which yet. If there is no shuttle, an estimate on the cost of a taxi each way would be very helpful. I can't seem to find information specific to travel to New Braunfels online. Thank you!!

      Cabin rental

by Texasace Online Now Apr 28, 2009 at 2:16 PM

I am looking for a private cabin to rent on the river that would hold a large group. We have a group from Church that is planning a weekend getaway. I would like a cabin that allows us to fish and swim, and also allows us to BBQ on a patio and eat outside. If I can find this at a resonable price, that would be great.
