Can someone provide some info on how to get to NC from Sacramento? Is there reasonably priced and frequent public transportation; bus/ shuttle? Any idea how much a car service or taxi would cost? Thanks in advance- I Ned this information urgently as my transportation fell through and I need to be there by early Monday evening
I don't know any direct routes to either Nevada City or nearby Grass Valley, but Amtrak and Greyhound offer a combo train/bus between Sacramento and Grass Valley (with connection in Auburn). From Grass Valley, you are only a few miles from Nevada City and could take a taxi. http://cwrr.com/Amtrak/wc_sacr.html Or if you get the train to Colfax, you are ~15 miles taxi from Nevada City. Call Amtrak soon because there is only one connection per day
