I'll be in Paris in July and am looking for a gym where I can simply lift free weights. Barbells and squat racks are what I'm looking for. I need to be able to sign up for just a month though. I expect prices to be expensive, so I'll be happy to hear of any option.
I want some advice to travel from Paris Gare du Nord or Gare de l´Est station to Disneyland? Can I know which would be the cheapest way to get there and how much will it cost?
We went to Rambouillet on a Sunday. On the return trip, we could not get past the gates between the front door and the platforms. The sign said "access to trains," but it was nothing but barriers. The gates seemed to be activated by small, subway-style tickets, but we had a full size train ticket purchased at our station of origin. There was no one attending the station. We jumped over turnstiles, squoze through gates, crossed tracks, and climbed over a fence before finding a staircase that led to the right track. We could see a staircase after we broke through the gates, but it was fenced off. I can't find a layout of the station or any explanation anywhere else on the internet. Any one know what we did wrong (or what's wrong with the train station)?
I have been prompted after reading the Paris pages of Cathy Reichhardt, to ask if anyone can tell me a little bit about the Odeon Metro Station with regards to people such as I with mobility problems. This will be our closest Metro stop to our apartment on my upcoming visit to Paris and from prior experience of the Paris Metro system, I know full well that as good as the Metro is, it can be a minefield of steps, long walks and out of order lifts. The bus services in the same area seem to be quite good, but there will be a couple of occasions at least where we may be better served by using the Metro. Any help will, as always, be greatly appreciated. Thanks all.
Does anybody know the taxi situation at Charles De Gaulle? Is there a company or two we should seek out or
stay away from? What should we expect to pay (euros) traveling from the airport to the Saint-Germain-des-Pres
area in Paris?
-Thanks for your help
We're driving from Calais to the Loire Valley in a few weeks and will be spending a day in Paris on the way. As we'll have a car /roof box full of camping gear and don't want to bring it into the city I need to find a budget hotel or B&B where we can safely leave the car, get the train into Paris and then get back the same evening. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance guys.
I need to know where can I buy a Nikon Photo Camera, nearby where I am(I am looking for a semi-pro Nikon D5100, specifically), for a good price. I am at rue de Turbigo, Paris 75003.
I am trying to avoid stores like FNAC, where the prices are usually more expensive.
Please advise me on the cheapest way to travel from Hotel Novotel Marne La Vallee Collegien to Charles De Gaulle Airport and the journey.
Does anyone know if Justine's Buffet Restaurant in Le Meridien Hotel in Montparnasse is still operational? I am having a hard job finding any up to date info on it. I was told that it is an extremely kid friendly establishment albeit quite expensive. Would appreciate any help that anyone can give me. Thanks.
Can somebody help me with some information on traintickets in Paris. I want to buy a ticket for 5 nights (6 days) that I can use to and from the airport as well as on the train in the city . If possible to use for my visit to Versailles as well. Thanks
I see what buses go to Neuilly-sur-Seine, and I see that the #1 metro goes there. However, I haven't been able to figure out what zone Neuilly-sur-Seine is in. The print on the RATP zone map is much too small to see, and it won't open in PDF format. Is Neuilly-sur-Seine within zone 1-2 or is it further out? There's a restaurant my husband and I would like to go to -- La Guinguette de Neuilly. Best, Sandy
