With such an open question the first thing I suggest that you do is browse the pages written by VT Members, paying attention to The Things to Do and Transportation Tips and these will give you a starting point to plan your trip.
Then when you have more specific questions, re-post these and I am sure you will get a good Response

as Rob suggested, give some information about the trip and you will get amazing help from experienced travelers:

    How many days?
    where are you coming from?
what are your interests? hardcore trekking? or relaxing? or something in between? or culture? temples? mountain flight?

From Gorakhpur take a bus or jeep to the Nepalese frontier at (Indian side) Sunauli/Bhairawa (Nepalese side, but also often called Sunauli).
Walk across the frontier, it's then a few minutes walk to the Bhairawa bus station. Take a bus to Kathmandu.
Once in Kathmandu your first priority will be to find a hotel – There are many hotels to suit all budgets but if your buss arrives in the late evening, most of the smaller hotels in Kathmandu the reception staff finish around 9pm and then a night porter comes on duty, the night porter will only speak limited English and doest have access to guest rooms – So if your bus Is arriving late then booking your 1st nights accommodation will be a good idea
Then the next day check out several agencies and get comparisons of prices and levels of services offered for your chosen itinerary and take it from there

Good Luck and Happy and Safe Travels

May is an OK time to go – Not perfect but OK – You will experience some pre-monsoon rains (Monsoon season proper kicks off in June) and also a lot of haze, which can obliterate the views somewhat.
But it will be warm ;-)

Money – Apart from a few US’s for your visa on arrival just change your Bahraini Dinar into Nepal Rupees on arrival – Why pat 2 lots of exchange commission ;-)

Good Luck and Happy safe Travels

As already mentioned, June is Monsoon, so not the ideal time to go – But if it’s the only time you have, then just go well prepared for a lot of rain ;)

You can spend Indian rupees in Nepal at a fixed exchange rate – But aren’t sure if these are acceptable for your VOA – Maybe someone will come along with more info on this

Yes – Several Monasteries offer accommodation – Try Kopan

    Good Luck

One other thought on Visas – If you are an Indian citizen travelling on an Indian citizenship card (And not a foreign passport with duel nationality) then you won’t need a visa ;-)

    Hey khoosboo,
After you arrived at Gorakhpur better to take jeep for Border it will take nearly 3 hrs or you might take car which will take some minute less then jeep both of them you can get few step from the exit gate and they have a government bus that sort of bus are boring and taking nearly 4hr some time more then 4 hrs.
    enjoy your trip.
