If you're a novice, decide how much you are willing to lose (ie $10), only go in with that $10, then leave once it's gone. Try something simple like slot machines, maybe roulette.

The casinos are more than gaming, There are shows and entertainment as well.

There are 5 Casinos in Kathmandu all in 5 star hotel. All are good but the oldest is at Soaltee Oberoi. You can try there. They will teach you how to play and guide. The best way to learn is Slot Machines and Roulette!

i was in kathmandu for six days in total but did not come across any casinos. or hear about them. But word of warning friend I would should you come across any, is to be very very carfefull with your cash and valuebles. as in the western world i do not think there are any hard or fast rules in kathmandu. i would suggest that if you do find one make sure it is in a 5* hotel i think you will find the raddison hotel would be your safest bet good luck :-))

The only casino that i have ever been in was in Kathmandu many years ago. There was some type of offer to get free drinks but the stakes back then were very low, i think equivalent to a quarter. Maybe things have changed since then. Anyway make your decision of how much funds are available for this and stick to it. DO NOT TRY AND WIN BACK LOST MONEY as you will more than likely lose more. Get some books from the library that explains the rulles of roulette and card games.
