My husband and I are seriously thinking about moving to either Port Dickson or Melaka through the MM2H Program. We'd like any information on either of these locations. We visited Penang in Dec/12 and all tholugh we really enjoyed it we'd like to live in a quieter area --- but we don't want to be too bored either.Are there expat/new commer groups to join to meet people? We've also started to look at housing in both areas and probably would go the rental route as it would give us more flexability. Input greatly welcome.

Hi members, at last I found a forum like this and I saw senior members are responding well. I am new here and pls feed me as much infos as possible for my end of this Nov visit to Melaka. Have been travelling to KL quiet often but not to Melaka yet. 1. Is it OK to hire a taxi from KLIA to Melaka for a family of 6 and 2 child? 2. Recommend me average cost hotels for a family which is easy access to eating places, historical sites and also 3. Do we need a tourist guide while in Melaka, if so do anyone know how to find one. We have one day/ night there after our trip to Ubud and KL Just wanted to leave some spending money if there are any special items to purchase in Malaka What's good to look for in the night markets ? It was on the news about Melaka Air flying directly to Kuching in early 2012. Does anyone had taken this flight yet? I couldn't find anything about Melaka Air online. Hello how r u?, I've read some 2010 posts saying that the only convenient, confortable, fast and cheap way to get from KL to Melaka is by bus. nevertheless i've read that it takes 3 hours. as i'm going to spend only the day in melaka and return to kl at night, do you know if by any chance there has been any improvements on the bus service to melaka?? thanks!!

Hi, We will be taking the night sleeper train from Singapore to Tampin and the arrival time is about 4am. 1)Can someone advise if there are any form of transport available or is it easy to take taxi from Tampin to Melaka at 4am? 2)Also, are there any coffee shops or eating places in Melaka that are open early in the morning? Will be in Malaysia next month. Arrive LCCT, we(a family of 4) plan to take a taxi from LCCT to Malacca for 2 days. Then the next trip, will be Genting Highland. Intend to take an express bus from Malacca straight to Genting Highland. Try to surf the net to find an express bus from Malacca to Genting Highland but nil. Anyone who know or have taken an express bus from Malacca to Genting Highland, pls let me know which bus company provide the service.
