What is easiest travel choice from Berlin to Amsterdam for a first time traveler who only speaks English (my nephew, aged 24 American)? By bus or train is preferred, reasonably priced, and he'd like to leave tomorrow, 27 April. I checked a few places and most seemed around 100€ round trip, by bus, but as I understood you might have to change buses during the trip. I've lived in Germany several years but have never routed through the Netherlands except by plane, so I am unsure how to direct him. Thanks a lot for whatever help or suggestions you can provide!
I am visiting Kiel via cruise ship on Thursday May 21 and would like to visit the Neuengamme Concentration Camp. Can anyone tell me how to get there via public transportation or do I need to rent a car? Is driving there easy to maneuver? Any assistance would be appreciated.
I am looking to take a tour of the Medieval Dungeons in Nurnberg. We will be there late afternoon of Fri Sept 18th. We are free for the tour either 5pm on Fri 18th, 4pm on Sat 19th, or Early morning 9am on Sun 20th. We need the tour to be in English. Is there anywhere I can find a tour. I want of the Dungeons not the beer cellar, unless they are the same thing. Any help would be appreciated.
Is there somewhere I can see an NFL football game in Cologne? We are looking for Sunday Sept 13th we want to watch the Chicago Bears vs Green Bay Packers they play at 12pm CST (chicago time) which will be 7pm in Germany. Any suggestions???

I (and two friends) will be staying for 5 days in a budget hotel on Stresemannstrasse in Altona Bahrenfeld. On most days, I think we travel into the city centre by bus, using the M3 Metrobus. Question: how do we buy our HVV Tageskarten? Is there any ticket-automat at 'Bushaltestelle Schützenstraße (Mitte)'? Are there ticket-machines on board Metrobuses? Will it upset the other passengers and the driver if we buy our Tageskarten from the driver...of what is supposed to be a high-speed bus service?
I am assuming that HVV tickets (as is the case in other cites) are now date&time-stamped at the point of issue, so you can't buy tickets ahead e.g. a day in advance.
Note that because I can't guarantee that the three of us will stay together all the time, I do not want to buy HVV Gruppenkarten.
We are planning a tour with motocaravan covering Germany. We will get our motocaravan from Stuttgart. Then go to Switzerland,Nort France,Belgium,Netherland and back to Stuttgart.
We will be travelling with children who are 14 and 10.(both girl)
We are planning to see nature, small nice villages etc.
Besides historical and touristic places, we would like to be in the places where inhabitants live, eat, make shopping etc.
We would like to hear your advices about any other places that we can add to our route.
Quality but budget is also important for your reastaurant advices.
I would appreciate some advice regarding parking in the city centre. We will be there for 3 days and will need to park our car for this period. We do not plan on using our car during our stay as we will use public transport if needed.
So far the railway station looks like the best option at 6 euros for 24 hours. I just wondered if there were any other options?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Hi, I would like to visit the place where the television series Forsthaus Falkenau was filmed. Village Falkenau in reality does not exist. I would like to know, how the real village is called and where exactly it is. Is there a museum or something like that in that famous house?
Thank you for answers and have a nice day!
My girlfriend and I are searching for a German village to hike and hang out Near the Kaiserslautern area! We'd prefer somewhere with farmers markets and far away from super busy city life. We're into outdoor activities and don't mind driving a bit to get where we need to go. Also, recommendations for a decent hotel in that same area would be great! Itd only be a night or two so it doesn't need to be too extraordinary! Thanks!!
Hi everybody, I am flying to Hamburg at the beginning of May for 4 nights. I've never been there and would like to get a nice impression of the city, where it is better to stay? In the centre or in which suburbs? I've found nice private b&b but cannot evaluate if the location is convenient for sightseeing, shops or restaurants. Many thanks in advance to everybody willing to answer me.
Are there any free walking tours in Augsburg? I have been to several whilst traveling in South America and I loved it. It was mostly conducted by university students who showed us a great time on a shoestring budget. Would appreciate if someone could point me in the correct direction! Has anyone tried this yet? http://jeanrichardtour.com I was recommended this Augsburg Free Walking Tour by an acquaintance, but was wondering if anyone else has gone on this tour? It is apparently free and runs everyday. Anybody wanna check it out together? I will be in Augsburg on the second week of April! Arriving on 16 April from Munich. Hope to meet some new friends!
