Nice Jazz place (for elderly people).

New Orleans May 1, 2013 at 8:36 PM

      Hello everybody...

I'm going to New Orleans with an aunt who loves Jazz. I saw some great places to go (Jazz bars) in the internet, but those places are great to me, to someone with my age (30). My problem (and that's why I'm asking it here and not only googling it): My aunt is a 90 y.o. lady.

She is really active, as I said, love jazz, but I can't imagine her in a bar or in a really noisy place full of young people.

Does anybody know a calm place with a nice jazz for us to go? a restaurant, a place to be seated and not really crowded, a place where elderly people use to go, anything like this?

      Thanks a lot in advance!

    • Owner of Charokee Plantation?

by BossierCMerchant Online Now Aug 17, 2006 at 1:14 PM

I have been told and read in old Natchitoches newspapers, that the Origional owner of Charokee Plantation was Charles Emile Sompayrac. Also there is a famous duel that was held on the back of Charokee plantation in 1839. The Bossier-Gaiennie Duel. I have heard they re-enact this every fall. Also why are the origional owner's of the plantations names not mentioned on almost all of these? I would like to know what you know about this... Thank you..
