We will be staying in a midtown hotel during Fanfest in June. They have shuttles downtown and back. My concern is if we miss the shuttle back or want to stay downtown for a while. I have read that Nashiville taxis must be reserved i.e. you cannot flag one down. If this is the case, is there a realistic chances of getting one in a reasonable time, given that there are thousands of people in the Broadway area at that time.
Taxis can't be hailed from the street, but there are plenty of them in the city. I suggest having the number of a few taxi services and just calling 30 min before you are ready to leave. Another alternative is to walk to the nearest hotel downtown (there are many) and there may already be several there or you can ask the doorman to call for a taxi.
