Coming in from Brentwood, TN -- Should I drive? Are there other transportation options?

hi all, I'm going to be in Nashville for a wedding from March 8 - 11, staying at a hotel in Brentwood, TN. I have the morning and afternoon of both Friday and Sunday free, and would love to hit some of the touristy activities and check out the district. How far a drive is that from Brentwood? Should I drive, and if so, any tips on parking? I read a few posts saying parking was pretty, but I wasn't sure how bad it was. Cheers!
