I am trying to pinpoint a location of AVIS car rental station in Chesme. The station name on their international site is "Cesme, Inonu Mah. Izmir Cad. (IZ1)" and the address is: "No 40 Cesme Izmir 35210 Turkey Location Code: IZ1"
When I try to enter this address at google maps and a few other mapping sites, however, the results are always different. What is more, on google I see Avis location in Chesme (an icon on the map), which is in different place from the place google shows as the result of searching for the address. My local Avis person pointed me to yet another direction - somewhere in Alacati.. so by now I am a bit lost.
If you know where the place is, would you be so kind to post a link to exact location on google maps or some GPS coordinates? (on google maps right click on the place, choose "What is here?" from the dropdown and copy coords from the pop-up tile).
Would very much appreciate your help!

I'm attempting to get from Ataturk airport to Stara Zagora within 5 hours. Unfortunately, Turkish car rental companies do not allow cars to be taken from the country, so I assume my only option left is a private driver/taxi.
Any sense how feasible this is or what the cost would be?
I will arrive in Van on 21/7 and then travel in eastern Turkey. I will fly back from Erzurum on 29/7.Can everyone give me advice on how to spend these 8 days in eastern Turkey? One to two important castles or museums are enough for me. I hope the places can be of different features. Thanks a lot.
I'm looking for a 1-2 day hiking/trekking route in Turkey for
- one adult and one 14 year old
- end of July, beginning of August (so preferably somewhere cooler like marmara/karadeniz)
- medium level
I have found that the Yedigoller area seems nice, but I can't seem to find any info on the route (how hard it is, how long it is, route map etc)
And as far as I found online, the karadeniz routes seem to be quite difficult.
Any ideas and links would be appreciated.
Hello! I am travelling to Turkey in August and I will stay with Turkish family for several days. I didnt meet them before and I was thinking about gifts to bring for them. They live in Antalya and their youngest child is 16, other children are adults. I was thinking about chocolate, porcelain dish, decorated candles...? What do you suggest? Any others ideas? Thanks a lot for your help.
As part of my Greece/Turkey trip I am planning, I intend to do one of these segments:
1. The Classical sites of the Aegean (Ephesus, etc)
2. Ankara and the Hittite Sites
As this could be my only trip to the region, I have to be selective. I am a history buff and also have a long standing interest in ancient history and archaeology.
Its me, roamer, again. I have since decided on this as it may be the sole time to that region. I have a few questions concerning the proposed programme:
1. Fly to Athens, Greece
2-4. In Athens
5. Fly to Istanbul
5-7. In Istanbul
8. Fly to Izmir
9. Trip to Classical site(s)
10. In Istanbul
Here are my questions:
A: In October, if I go to Ephesus, will it still be crowded with cruise passengers?
B:For return to Istanbul from Izmir, which is better to do, Night bus or flight?
C: Which is the better choice, Ephesus or Pergammon or the trio of Miletus, Priene and Didyma?
D: has anyone visited Sardis and if yes, how does it stack up to these other site?
