Dear Friends, I have booked myself with PDTC motels Naran but i am very confused as i have come to know that road from balakot to naran is bad. Please let me know is it ok for me to go by car to naran, We are three families traveling togather from Lahore on Corolla/City & Amazon jeep. Please need some advice. We have planned to our trip from 15th June 2011.
Bonjour from Chitral, Road is fine, monsoon's not arrived yet in the area, so you can travel to Naran. Good luck..

You can go on your vehicles but expect: 1. A couple of land slides between Balakot and Naran. 2. At this time, also expect tackling few glaciers on the road before Naran 3. Remember after Kawai there is a long stretch that has high risk of land slides... stones rolling down from the mountains after 2005 earthquake. During Jan this year, a huge stone about 50kg or so banged the bonnet of jeep that we had hired. We were lucky that it did not hit the wind screen. Be vigilant and there should not be an issue.
