hello everyone, I live in islamabad.. I am planning to visit naran this year in mid-june.. plz guide me in following?? *How about flies(machar)?? *Should i take my 9 months old daughter?? have any of you seen small kids when you went there??(what are the risk factor) *is Erum hotel good place to stay or just the food is good?? *should i better book in pineview or pinepark? *Are the dates good i.e mid-june or i shuld go in july-aug?? plzzz reply! regards, Sara
No machar in cold. With ample clothing, your daughter should not have issues. Pinepark has mixed reviews. Go to Naran and select a hotel at the spot. Go in mid June. July and August will be Monsoon season. Hope it helps.

Bonjour from Chitral, June, better time of the year to visit the region, July, August are wet due to monsoon and roadblocks are common. I didn't get your flies (machar) query, either you are asking about mosquitoes (Machar) or makhi (flies)? Above 2000 m, Malaria doesn't exist, so no worries. The main risk's roadblocks with kids, otherwise I don't see any troubles with taking the kids to that area. There are good reviews about Pine Park/View, though June is not a very busy time of the year in Naran so you could find enough space. Bon voyage..
