Hotel Excelsior or Renaissance Mediterraneo?

I have Starwood points that I can use to stay at the Hotel Excelsior and Marriott points that I can use for the Renaissance Mediterraneo. If anyone has stayed at either one or both of these hotels, please give me your comments so I can decide which to choose. Thank you.
