Hi! My husband and I will be staying in the Napa area next Sat and Sun and need a place to stay that's inepensive Also, any suggestions for free wine tastings on my birthday would be nice :) Thanks!
Check out the Bel Abri in Napa. Usually free wine tastings, cheese, grapes, crackers in early evening.

The best way to get free tastings is to make appointments at the smaller wineries, and then plan to buy a bottle. See my tips on wineries to visit under my pages for Napa, St. Helena, Oakville, and Calistoga. If you stay on the valley floor, you're certain to pay for your tastings.

To get VT tips on Napa, type in Napa,CA in the Search box next to Destinations. Click on GO! and you can see the personal tips of fellow members. Your best bet to find out about wineries and lodging costs and location is to see the website: www.napavalley.com

Check the website for the Yountville Inn in Yountville, sometimes they offer great Fall specials, utilize your concierge at your hotel, we have been given many complimentary tasting passes from the Yountville Inn, Sonoma Mission Inn and the Villagio Inn & Spa (pricey) in Yountville. Cheers and happy tasting! :)
