We're off to Nafplio next year (2009) for a friend's wedding and as there's a group of us who've all been good friends since school-days, we want to turn the event of a wedding into an excuse for a group holiday! We're in our early-thirties (there'll be about 14-16 of us) and enjoy eating out in good restaurants and spending time in good bars. Equally we'll need get hold of a villa or two to house us! Does anybody have any recommendations about where would be best to stay? Would Nafplio itself keep us entertained for a week? or is there a better alternative not too far away? Thanks in advance for your help.
Nafplio is very romantic !! But..if you rent a car you can NOT come in the old town. From Nafplio you can visit Mycene, Argos, Tyrins, Monemvasia and maybe Sparta and Mystras. And not to forget : Epidavros !!You can also visit the islands of Spetses, Poros and Hydra. Maybe it's best to stay in a village outside Nafplio and come in Nafplio for dinner and drinks.
