Could anybody tell me the best route by car to nafplio from kalamata airport, i know it's about a 3 hour drive, will it be a difficult journey, or is it quite easy, thanks
You can go to Sparti, then take the road E961 to Tripoli, then the highway E65 and leave it following the indications to Argos and Nafplio. I don't know how the first part is (Kalamata-Sparti), but the road from Sparti to Tripoli was OK in 2003, and the highway was very quiet and safe. The other possibility is to take E55 from Kalamata to Megalopoli - Tripoli-etc, the E65 is projected towards the south but I don't know how much the works have advanced. If the projected works have finished, this would be the best route as most of the way would be highway. The Peloponese is a very mountainous region and the roads are sharp bends, sometimes the surface is not in good condition, so secondary roads can be very nice but also can have surprises.
