Ferries to Crete from Nafplion

What are the ferry services between Nafplion and Crete (times, fares, can they take cars)?

    There is not a direct ferry connection from Nafplion to Crete, so there are 2 choices. The first one is via Piraeus and the second one with a ferry departing from Gytheion or Neapoli near Sparta and arriving to Kastelli-Chania. By far the first choice is the most reliable one, as the Ferry from Gytheio is a small and old one which may change schedule due to weather conditions.
