    • Transportation from Alborg to Lindholm Hoje

      Ålborg 2 hours ago

We will be in Alborg only for one day and would like to visit Lindholm Hoje. We arrive via cruise ship and I was wondering what the best way is to get to Lindholm Hoje without purchasing a short excursion. Any ideas?

FIrst time in Copenhagen - best area to stay?

      Copenhagen May 20, 2015 at 11:52 PM

      Hello,

My husband and I will be visiting Copenhagen for the first time in late August and we will be staying one week. I'm in charge of finding a hotel, and my husband asked that we stay someplace where we could walk to several attractions. I have some hotels in mind but they are in three different neighborhoods: Tivoli/Radhuspladsen, Stroget/Inner City, or Nyhavn.

Ideally, we would prefer staying someplace that's not overly noisy at night (I realize this could be a lot to ask, but I thought I'd throw it out there anyway). Our interests are food & wine, museums and (for me) shopping. Any suggestions on which of the three neighborhoods would be a good fit in terms of proximity of restaurants, markets, cultural attractions?

If you have any specific hotel recommendations, I'd love to hear those as well.

Thanks in advance for your help!

      Pamela

Using a Taxi or Uber, reluctant to use an unlicensed source such as Uber

      Copenhagen May 23, 2015 at 6:23 AM

We will be in Copenhagen in two weeks and are considering using a Taxi or Uber. But am reluctant to use an unlicensed source such as Uber. Granted taxi drivers may not always be the best but, there are some oversight and controls. All comments and experiences are appreciated.

    • How much money to take?

      Copenhagen Apr 30, 2015 at 5:08 AM

I'm going for 3.5 days and will have accommodation already paid for, as well as my copenhagen card which will cover my public transport and most of the things I do. I've heard that eating and drinking is very expensive over there, if I tried to stick to supermarkets and little shops and only ate out once or twice (lunches probably) and stopped for coffee and pastry once or twice, how much would that cost me? Are there any other expenses you are aware of? Perhaps things you highly recommend but are not covered by the card or hidden extra costs with some things?

      TIA!

      Bon Bon Land

by MikeStarr5 Online Now Sep 13, 2003 at 5:14 AM

Has anyone ever been to Bon Bon land and if so what did you think of it ? Is it easy to get to from København ? Is there enough there to justify 2 days or would one be enough ? I plan to visit with a friend who, like me, enjoys the white knuckle rides but we will also be taking along a 7 year old. So we wanted to know whether there was enough to do that would interest her as well. I know a lot of things are seasonal in DK, so you probably need to know that the trip is planned for the end of May 2004. Regards and thanks in advance Mike
