There are no direct flights to Mysore. Yes, Mehulraj is correct. I've flown (from Mumbai) to Bangalore then hired a taxi for the ride to Mysore. Drive takes a few hours (depending on traffic) and once you're out of the city, it's a pretty pleasant drive. I believe there is a train from Bangalore to Mysore as well. I also took bus from Bangalore, If I remember it was about 3 hours.

All the previous posters are right. Just wanted to add that the train journey is not so tough, so you might want to opt for it. however, if you take a taxi you get to be dropped right at your hotel/place of stay. So thats a good option too. Mysore has so much to see ... and do take a peek at the many shops on Dhanvantri Road while there... Have a good trip,
