Yes, Mehulraj is correct. I've flown (from Mumbai) to Bangalore then hired a taxi for the ride to Mysore. Drive takes a few hours (depending on traffic) and once you're out of the city, it's a pretty pleasant drive. I believe there is a train from Bangalore to Mysore as well. All the previous posters are right. Just wanted to add that the train journey is not so tough, so you might want to opt for it. however, if you take a taxi you get to be dropped right at your hotel/place of stay. So thats a good option too. Mysore has so much to see ... and do take a peek at the many shops on Dhanvantri Road while there... Have a good trip,
