I will be travelling to Mykonos in July and plan to propose to my girlfriend while we are there, I have a few ideas whizzing about my head, but can anybody recommend any places, beaches, restaurants etc to give me a bit of starting point? Having never been before I'm going in completely blind, so any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

which hotel should i stay if i want to party all night and day in mykonos ... should i stay in mykonos town and what are the best night clubs there??

We are a family of 9 persons with 1 Senior Citizen, 4 Adults & 4 Children aged 9, 10 & 12+, 16.
We have already booked the 3-Night Louise Cruise in Greece.
Now we require to book the Private Land Arrangements / Sightseeing (9 PAX Van with guide)
Fri 31st May Athens – Louis Olympia 3N Cruise
1100 departure from Piraeus Port
1800 arrival Mykonos, departure 2300
Suggest Mykonos Land Excursion for 3 hours or provide 9 PAX VAN / 2 Taxis for 3 hours

Hi, I'm arriving in myconos in early may by ferry and travel to london same day. Is there a bus from the port directly to the airport? and where can i find the station?

also is it better to take a taxi? any estimates of the cost?

My cruiseship gets into port at 1:00pm and leaves at 9:00pm. How would I get to Delos?

Two questions about Mykonos:

We are considering renting a villa any advice for a family that includes a 3 year old?

Is there any Scuba diving?

Are there any archeological sites or cultural attractions, other than Delos, that can be done on a day trip?

Will anyone here be in Mykonos between April 26-May 1?

How do we get to Paradise Beach from Mykonos Town via Bus? What is the cost and the frequency of the buses on a Saturday in early May? What is the typical temperature at that time of year? Is this the nicest beach that is easy to get to? We are on a cruise ship and need to make sure we get back on time.

Want to get it right this time. Always pick a hotel and then go for a drink at another hotel and think we should have stayed here. I am going back and forth between Cavu Tagoo and kivitos? Know really nothing sbout location etc. Looking for something luxury but with great service low key no party animals.Also checked out palladium and la residence . cavu tagoo looks like it may be a place people from other hotels visit and kivitos ...... The rooms furniture don't look that nice. If you know anything please let me know Thanks!!!

Hi Everyone, We are going to Athens, Mykonos and Santorini on Sept 8-16th and are not sure as to whether to take the ferry from Mykonos to Santorini or fly there? We are concerned that the ferry is very rocky, one of our guests with us will be 6 months pregnant at the time so she is concerned about that or should we take a 19 seater plane that gets us there in 30 minutes? Are the flights reliable? Do they get delays/cancellations. Thank you for your help.

I will be on Mykonos staying at Mama's pension on these dates and the rooms are double beds I believe. I'm paying for both because they do not rent it out like hostel style. I would love if there are other travelers who may be alone or would like to split the cost. Please let me know if someone would like to do this to save money. I was unable to find a couch surfer to host me and I would love to have more money to spend on my travels. I would prefer to share with another girl for safety and comfort.

Hi, my husband and I are planning a trip to Mykonos on the 23rd Sept this year. I have been to the island before, but in June. Can someone please tell me roughly what the weather is expected to be there at end of Sept and is the island still busy, ie restaurants still open, atmosphere etc many thanks

Yiasas I was living in Santorini for a while and I know that you find cheap deals to rent when you are there, talk to people, connections help, etc. I am trying to find to rent a villa /a vacation house for 8-10 people in Mykonos, and most of the deals I find online are way beyond our budget. Is there some other way to find smth to rent for a cheaper price? should i contact agencies, or local people, on Vt? :) Any relevant infor would be helpful! efharistw

Can anyone tell me if the Elia bus from Mykonos town stops by the New Aeolos Hotel? If so, where do I catch it in the town. I believe it's a very steep climb back to this hotel, and there is a bus that stops right by it. Thanks for any information.

Geiasas, Does anybody know if they usually have traditional celebrations on 24th June in Mykonos for Ag Ioannis? I spent this time in Paros for many years, and they made fires on the beach,there was music and everyone danced around the fire or jumped over it!!! .....Paula

Hi All! We, my wife and me, will be visiting Mykonos for 3 days during May beginning. We have booked the ferry from Rafina. We would love to hear from you all any suggestions about places to stay in and things to do on the island. We would love to be on a beach, probably one not too crowded, and also have a go at a pub/bar/disco. Also would like to know if there are any day trips to some other nearby island/islet. We would like to stay in a white and blue building preferably sea-facing. Any suggestions are welcomed. Thanks a lot! Travellingtechie!

Hi, I am fairly familiar with prices on Crete (we have been there many times). We usually can get clean room for 2 people with bathroom and AC for only 40 Euro. We found similar rooms last summer on Santorini (Akrotiri village - off the beaten track) for less than 50Euro /2 people. Also Anafi was accommodating. Our room in Hora was only 30Euro. Now I am looking at prices on MYKONOS and I can not find anything cheaper than 100 Euro for 2 people with AC & bathroom. Is Mykonos really that much expensive than Crete? Or cheap hotels just don't post on line? If any one of you was staying on Mykonos Island in last 3 years during months of July and August and know some inexpensive accommodation, please, let me know. It does not have to be a fancy place. Just clean, bathroom with hot water, and possibly AC. Beach or town does not matter. Thanks a lot :-)

Are there any ONE DAY TRIPS to Santorini from Mykonos? Or at least a boats that are conveniently scheduled leaving Mykonos for Santorini early morning and returning at night?
