What can five guys from the Dec 29th - Jan1st do in Munich?

I'm taking my friends to Munich (I live near Stuttgart as an exchange student from California) and I'm just wondering if there's anything really awesome that sticks out. Where could we celebrate New Years? What's the cheapest/best way to go snowboarding? Are there any packages or anything with buses to the mountains for cheap? I heard something about that before. I have been to Munich before for Oktoberfest, and it's a beautiful city. I didn't get to see too much, though, so what do you recommend?? I'll probably have more questions soon! Thanks!
