I will be in Mumbai for a few days on my own. I will be meeting up with my wife later in the week. I wondered if I could meet up with any one interested in trips to Elephanta island and some other places for a bit of company?
Hi if you post a meeting in the Meet Members section to see who will be around and available....also you could try a few travel pages on Mumbai and leave notes/comments on vters pages or tips there or send vt mail to them. All the best!

Hi - I'd suggest posting on IndiaMike.com - http://www.indiamike.com/india/. By the way a good tour company is Reality Tours and Travel if you're looking for other people to hang out with. The guides are good, tours are great - small groups - and inexpensive. They offer tours of unique spots in Mumbai. Enjoy Mumbai!

I bought the updated new edition of Lonely Planets guidebook to India last year - its laid out really well and has loads of information for travelling out and about

Hi dabby123,
I'm home again now and did not get your reply until this morning. I'm sorry about that as it would have been great to meet up.
I did however have a great time, visiting lots of places and eating in some great places. I met a lot of interesting people and was treated really well by everyone I came into contact with.
It's 25 years since I went to India the last time and I will not be leaving it another twenty five years until I go again. I'm off to buy some ingredients to make a an Indian meal this afternoon.
