Hi all, I'm flying into Erbil on Friday 23 March (10am) before starting a tour on the Saturday. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do on the Friday? I have a feeling that the city will close pretty much all day for prayers. Happy to be proved wrong! Not sure which hotel I'll be staying at yet but it will be something central. Thanks, Nat
Sorry, I'm obviously having a senior moment before my time. I arrive on a Saturday, not Friday. Ignore me! Ta

Surprisingly, Erbil is fairly open on Friday. The Citadel is still open. Although the museums are closed (not that they're any good anyways) The Bazar has a serious lull around 2pm, but is ok at other times. And parks are always open.
