From Ronchi Airport how would I get to a Villa Manin concert? Then after the concert...around midnight, how would I get back to Ronchi Airport?

Hi! I am new to the site and will be going to Italy for the first time at the end of June. I plan on spending a few days in Venice before making my way over to Portoroz, Slovenia. What is the best way to get to Portoroz? I have read that I can take a train from Venice to Trieste and then a bus from Trieste to Portoroz, but how easy is this and how long will the whole trip take? Will it matter if I am traveling on Saturday? Being that this is a higher tourist time, should I buy train/ bus tickets in advance?
