We are travelling from the UK to see Mount Rushmore this September and from there would like to travel the Custer State Park wildlife loop and the Peter Norbeck scenic route and it seems that these might be the same route as I can't seem to find out exactly where they run and whether it's possible to do all of this in one day. If any one has any information they think could help us we would be grateful.
Had to look, but you are speaking of the Needles Highway which is in Custer State Park. gfp.sd.gov/state-parks/direc... There is a cost to drive it. I have a tip on it on my travel pages. I have a fair more to do. It is a great drive as long as you are not afraid of heights.
