I recently visited Morro Bay - we had a great time, but it was a quick trip and a bit chilly. It rained the first day we were there. I'd like to go back and go kayaking and spend time at the beach. What's the best time of year to go for lots of sun and warm days?
Early summer or early fall are good. Mid-summer it can be very busy. It is a nice place isn't it?

Super fun! We stayed at the Inn at Morro Bay, which had a private jacuzzi on the balcony of our room and we were at the south end right next to the National Estuary. It was so cool to wake up to all the unique bird calls. Thanks for the timing info!

Morro Bay is warmest in late September and early October. My wife and I love the Inn at Morro Bay and now most of the rooms have a hot tub. The early evening hours called "happy hours" and the bar at the Inn has a great view of the bay, Morro Rock and the sunset. I have a tip for a kayak company in my VT Morro Bay pages: "SITTING AT THE ROCK OF THE BAY" - Morro Bay by travelgourmet
