Do you need to go to Casablanca ? other than the very impressive Hassan 2 mosque, there is not much to see in Cassablanca. From Marrakech Airport the shuttle bus costs 20 one way to either Guilez or Djma el Fna square. You can find cheap and basic hostel accomodation try Hotel Ali, which is a stones throw from the square. You can manage in50 if you eat where the locals eat and take local transport.

I live in Morocco so i obviously live on much less, It all depends on your life style and what you want to do. If you plan on heading to the Atlas mountains with an organised trip you will probably need more than50 per day, but if you travel by local bus and stay in budget accomodation you will need much less. Morocco is not expensive but probably more so than Egypt

My plan is just stay in city for 2 weeks do as much things I can) visiting Museums look at old mosques and every few nights go to a party) I think you are right I will be able to cope with 50USD per day) if need more advice I know where to come.

Hi Dan, Of course its not obligatory but for all the times that you have come to the forums to get your info, and ask often the same questions at different occasions, we do in my opinion have good info that are designed to answer some of your questions and more, in our tips in our travel pages that do take some effort to get together. And its nice when people do go to them and utilise them for the purpose we have them to work alongside and beyond the more specifics of forum posts.along with the rating and ranking system that does help give some acknowledgement of our efforts and I reckon its all part of what makes this such a good sharing travel community.

You have been on VT since 2004 – me since 2006 with two different names. Maybe I am not fast read like you or maybe I find hard to taking information or maybe I am just slow) You don’t know the reason why as my questions few times) Please don’t jump the gun dear.

it is difficult to say how much you will spend, for food anything from 6dh for a bowl of Harira soup to a top notch restaurant is available in Marrakech, you can probably get a Tagine for 20Dh but for me I could spend 200dh in a sushi bar. Its all personal taste. If you like alcohol you might find it more expensive than you are used to, but hey you are on holiday !
