I was planning a trip to Radford Virginia and St Augustine Florida from the UK to visit friends which I have done before but it usually involves a complicated and convoluted flight itinerary via Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta airport several times. (ie London to Atlanta, Atlanta to Roanoke Virginia, then Roanoke back to Atlanta, then Atlanta to Jacksonville Florida and then Jacksonville back to Atlanta and finally Atlanta to London.
The VT meeting in Washington DC is around the same time that I was thinking about. VT Meetings in the past have always been great fun so now I'm thinking about combining all 3 cities in 8-10 days. Radford Virginia, St Augustine Florida and Washington DC.
I will not have a car and will not rent one. I drive 2000+ miles per week for a living in the UK and around Europe so I refuse to drive when I'm on vacation. What public ground transportation options are there between the 3 cities?
How can I get free brochures to plan our trip in November? I don't want to miss any great sites in Hilton Head area plus, Savannah area.
Hello! My fifteen-year-old son and I are driving to Charlotte from Fort Lauderdale next week and are planning to stop for the night in Savannah on the way. We should be arriving in Savannah between 4 and 5 p.m. and don't have a firm time to leave the next day. It's my first time in Savannah. Can anybody suggest any must-do's for us in the time we're there? We haven't booked a hotel yet, so we're open, but wherever we stay can't be super expensive, so I'm pretty sure the historic district is out. We both love to walk (although not so much in the sweltering heat and so, would rather get our walking in on the evening we get there) and love history, and we love eating, too. As a side note, I'm on a quest to run in all fifty states and plan to run while I'm there. Any suggestions as to where to do that? Again, that would probably be at night, too, in an effort to avoid heatstroke :)
We are looking for a nice (pricey, but not too pricey) beachside house/condo/apartment for stay over a weekend. We are looking for something on the beach or close to the beach and boardwalk, restaurants and shops.
We are 2 young families with kids. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

I am interested in going to the Painted Pony Rodeo in Lake Luzerne. I will
be traveling by public transportation from nyc. Does anyone know of any
public transportation buses, or shuttles, taxis, that run to the rodeo from Lake George or any other nearby town?.

I am wandering if our family vacation to Beverly Shores for a 2 night-3 day stay what is there to do and see? There are four of us. Ten year old son and 20 year old daughter. Thinking of staying at Al & Sally's Motel; it seems the best deal for the money. Is there a lighthouse and boardwalk along the beach. Is there swimming on the beach? Thanks for your help.
