Just got a quote from the shuttle company that goes from YUL to Mont Tremblant. Round trip for 2 adults and a child they want374. That's a car payment! Yikes!
Well it is about 125 Km and takes about 90 minutes one way but I'd check other companies. skyportinternational.com/en/... quotes374 US for a round trip ticket.

The problem with shuttles is that they charge per person, and you are looking at a 90+ minute trip each way. With three people a rental car might be a more affordable option and it also gives you a chance to explore the area rather than just staying in the village. By law, all cars must have snow tires in the winter, and I believe that applies to all rentals as well. They are certainly required for those roads. I haven't done the drive from Montreal, but have gone there from Ottawa, and it is a very pretty area to drive through (it's a tad further from Ottawa than from Montreal).
