Boat ride King Edward Pier vs ampi-bus near Science Centre- St. Laurent & Commne st.

If you have had a chance to ride the Amphi-bus Would you say the tours are somewhat comparable?? Also are the doyuble decker tours good too? What about the hop on and hop off service?? I'll be in Montreal May long weekend 14-15/10 Best regards Isadore
