It might be cheaper for you to fly out of LAX or ONT. Prices vary during the year, but we fly to Toulouse from California and usually have to change at CDG in Paris. The last time we flew through Frankfurt, Germany and that worked well. There is an airport in Montpellier so you could just change in Paris and fly south. You could also fly to Paris and take the train to Montpellier from there. The trains in France are fast and comfortable. We have friends who often go from California to Toulouse via Madrid. Why not go to a travel search engine and try a few options to see which is fastest and cheapest? We use http://www.kayak.com but Travelocity or Expedia probably work for information. After we get the airline and the price, we book directly with the airline. Try several options, including San Diego Airport although I suspect you'll end up with a commuter flight to LAX. That's fine if you don't mind one more change.

Well, it was posted in the France forum . . . and the one in VT is spelled with only one "l". Too many Montpellier/Montpeliers. LOL Hope you have a Merry Christmas!

Gosh! Didn't notice the posting was on the France site, I think I just assumed otherwise. Hope you have a joyous Christmas and a happy New Year as well. Early next year we should have a get together of local VT members :)
