Montpellier Train Layover

Would anyone be able to offer suggestions for nearby sights to visit or other interests during a brief stop? I will have about 2.5 hours between connecting trains in late morning. Thank you for your help in advance.

    Either walk or take the tram into the center of town from the train station. Montpellier has probably the largest pedestrian only city center on earth. Consult the Office de Tourisme website for a list of activities: http://www.ot-montpellier.fr/
