Planning a trip to the Loire. Will be staying in Amboise and would like to spend a full day in Tours. So; 3 questions: Which would be the more scenic route to take from Amboise to Tours? Which would provide an easier access to the old town? Where do we park?

Hi, I know there is a shuttle type train that goes from the airport in Lyon to the various train stations, I have used it but I do not remember how long it takes to get from the airport to Lyon Part Dieu and how frequent these transfers are. Since I will be on quite a tight schedule, travelling to Clermont Ferrand, every minute is vital to complete booking my train tickets so I really need your help, please.
I have an I Phone 4S and would like to use it in Europe. Paris is our first European country. Does anyone know if I can buy a sim for it in Paris? I really just want it for phone calls and texting in Europe and to Australia. Can this be purchased at the Airport? We are also travelling to Italy and Greece so would like to use it everywhere we go. Any suggestions on companies to use and where to purchase.
We'll be in St. Laurent-du-var this fall for a month and would like to travel to Cahors for a few days. I think the closest large town would be Toulouse. Any advice on getting there - flying or by train? Length of journey and cost?
Our trip to France and Italy- Sept 26-Oct 8, land at CDG at 12:55 I plan on getting a shuttle to Gare de St Lazare and train to Bayeux: stay Sat, Sun leave Mon to fly to Rome for the rest of our vacation. I'm trying to figure the best way to get to Rome. We could fly from Caen to Rome- a bit expensive, OR train to Orly and fly from there, much cheaper. The hard part is figuring our the best train route to get to Orly. If it's too much of a hassle then I guess we'll fly from Caen. We pack light and only will have carry-on luggage. Thanks for all help and input VT friends, Marilyn
Does anyone know a way of contacting a free lance driver and van to take us around our designated route? We don't need a guide or anything. This is party of six who is not too keen on driving. The tour companies are total rip-offs.What we need is a friendly amateur who'd like to make a little money. Suggestions?
