Nice cheap hostel/hotel in Uruguay

My friend and I (two girls) are planning on staying one night in Montevideo on 25th June. Does anyone have any recommendations re: safe, (reasonably nice) cheap accomodation in the capital? We'd prefer to be somewhere near the main attractions. Anything up to £10/night each. P.S. Any with websites/email addresses would be particularly helpful! :-)
