Does anyone have an expierence in staying at Hotel Don Taco or Pie de Monte? Do you know if they are on the bus route?
I'm pretty sure the bus hub for Monteverde is in Santa Elena, a 10 min walk up the hill. If you want cheap acom. stay at Pension Santa Elena, It's a backpackers spot. They're very helpful with area info and great people. If you want something a bit nicer, stay at Arco Iris next door. Not sure about Don Taco or the other one. Theres a big yellow school bus that runs severeal times a day from Santa Elena to Monteverde and the cloud forest resereve that costs about 2 dollars. If you're looking for something thats close to the public bus routes, Santa Elena is your place. Have Fun
