Monterosso Train Station

Is the train station near the newer part of town or the older? How long a walk to the older part of town?

    It's quite close to the waterfront and very central. Monterosso is very small and in strolling around it I didn't notice a great division between older and newer parts of town, but intuitively I would guess that the further you get from the water the newer things are.
