Hi, When are the best months to visit the beaches in the Monterey-Metro area? What is the water temp?

Not sure on the water temp - cold or cold..... :) but spring or fall is best - less overcast - you can get an occasional nice day/week during the summer months but all in all the spring or fall is the sunny time. :) M

I agree, spring and fall is the best time to visit Monterey. In the summer, it's colder there than in spring and fall due to the fog that rolls in. The water temp ranges from about 54 to 59 degrees - quite cold. Not like your Houston temps. It's not exactly a place where people go to swim in the water. Karen
