Where can I ride?

I was thinking of spending some time up in Monterey this winter but it is vitally important that I get some snowboarding in my schedule. So I was wondering how far/long of a drive it is to Mammoth or any other good riding.

    Honestly I think your best bet would be to drive to Lake Tahoe. A long trek to there or Mammouth, but as close as it gets from Monterey. I'd say that is a 9-14 hour drive - wait until you see the traffic... worth if for a couple days though. Have fun in Monterey - more beautiful than "fun". But it is all perspective.
