hoping to pass by for 5/6 days with my son age 16 years old, can any one reccomened a reasonale place to stay with pool, but nothing pricey or fancy Thanks june 2010 C

I've stayed at the San Marco, roughly a three-star hotel, nice breakfast. Don't look for many bells and whistles but the staff was great and they try hard. There are other 3-4 star hotels in the town square area too. Try to stay in the town square for easy walking to anywhere. Also take the Funicular to the top of Montecatini Alto (upper), the 16 year old will like the cable car ride.
