Hi everyone, We are travelling to Mombasa in two weeks time and staying at the Voyager Beach. My daughter and her boyfriend (both round 30) like to go out in the evening and when we travel to Sharm el sheikh spend a lot of evenings in Naama bay and the Hard Rock Cafe. Is it safe for them to do the same in Mombasa and if so any tips on good places to go - or not to go maybe would be appreciated. They like to go out for a drink and meet people, Karaoke, nice restaurant or decent bar etc. I think they are worried that it will be too unsafe to go out in the evening in Mombasa and they will have to spend every night in the hotel which as nice as it is, is not really them. It would be good to reassure them that there are good places to go and that it is safe to do so. Thanks in advance Janet
Mombasa is a fairly safe place, of course precautions have to be taken during the night outs as for any city. People are quite friendly. There are many discotheques and clubs around the voyager beach and there wont be a shortage of activities. Njoi your visit.
