I will be backpacking Molokai in a few weeks and was wondering what parks are actually camping friendly and have water, I have found alot of sites but they all conflict each other. Also I will be going alone, any particular places to stay away from?

    I can't help you too much, we had a rental car and just drove around for the day. I have a few first impressions which are;

    No bus transportation and everything is spread out with little traffic. You will have to hitchhike, it’s too far/too hot to walk anywhere.

    Head into town, a short walk from the ferry terminal. Ask your questions at the general store, you will find it. They will be very helpful.

    It's40USD one way by ferry, from pier #3 in Lahaina. It Leaves around 7:30am. You will probably meet some locals on the ferry that can give you some info and/or a ride.

    It's beautiful and VERY quiet. Have a great time.
