Hey, do you happen to know what year Woody's opened? I'm wondering how long it's been around.

"Woodys Tavern was opened in 1962-however it actually opened in the early 50's as The Millcreek Tavern-by Anthony Lema-He sold it to Mr.L.H.Woodard in 1958-This was during the uranium boom days-eventually he changed the name to Woodys Tavern in 1962-When the liquior laws changed in 1991 Mr.Woodwards son Max was not granted a liquior license due to the history of the establishment. At that time S.Beck an employee of Max-convinced Mr.Woodward to give her a chance. She promised Woody she would make him famous-Thus the name-"World Famous Woodys Tavern'.Just before his death Ms.Beck notifed Woody of the article in the New York Times recoginising the tavern as indeed World Famous-NEVER was any part of the tavern constructed and rebuilt from Penn. Thanks
