I am travelling with a u-haul trailer and I am trying to find a place to stay where my car and/or trailer will not get broken into. Moving to St. Louis and will be living near Forest Park. Don't mind staying far away for one night, however, before moving in.
Is there a club here that if you pay $15 you can drink well drinks all night without paying anything other than a tip
HI - me and my husband are planning to travel to Missouri later this year - it will be our second only trip to America - the first being Tennessess which we absolutely fell in love with. We will only have 10 days to play with and want to get the best out of our trip so thought rather than stay at one loaction we would pick up a rented car at the airport and just drive and stay over wherevr we get to - but we cant work out which area to focus on first - I like the idea of the SE but the NW sounds great too. We dont mind cities but prefer to explore smaller areas of interest - love the outdoor life and just wnat to chill and soak up teh real atmosphere away from all the usual touristy things Any thoughts?
How much should a double glazed hand decorated tangine cost
Our family of four (Mom, Dad, 18 and 15 yr old boys) has traveled over the years to baseball destinations. We're looking at the July 19-21 weekend to see the Tigers/Royals in Kansas City. Looking for suggestions on where to stay, things to do for a few days in KC.
Thanks!
traveling with buddies and teenage sons to KC for college basketball and panthers/chiefs. Westport sounds fun for adults - what is a good hotel to stay in the area? is westport the right area?
Hello everyone, as some of you might have read my previous post, I am a first time traveler to the USA, flying next week from Pakistan and will be based in Kansas. I just had a great idea, how about we plan a VT Meet up in Kansas? That would be a good opportunity to meet new people, share experiences and make friends. I would love to come to a meet up like that, what does everyone else think?
Hello everyone, I am traveling to Kansas next week from Pakistan to visit my aunt and I plan to see many places in America like New York, Vegas, Florida, San Francisco, Niagra Falls, Grand Canyon etc. My biggest concern is that all these states are very far from each other, Kansas is in the centre with California on one corner of the map and New York etc on the other. Can anyone guide me about what would be the cheapest form of traveling there? Secondly my aunt lives on Travis Lane in Kansas, is that a fun place? Does it have any shopping malls or something interesting nearby? As this is my first trip to the States, I want to make the most of it and have great experiences so any advice/guidance you guys can give me would be valuable. Thanks :)
Which place is the most important place brazil to go for tour?
Anything worth seeing? I plan on stopping off at the zoo because of the grey wolves! But didn't know if there was anything special in addtion to the zoo. Thanks!
Has anyone had a good experience in a hotel in St Louis? I will be passing through in a few months on a honeymoon and wanted to get a few hotel suggestions. A good Holiday Inn and up is fine. A safe area and a nice hotel is the only things we are looking for.
Possibly visiting Springfield in Missouri next year but would like to see more of the area. Are there any roadtrips worth doing (Route 66?) What about doing a 'triangle' of Chicago, Washington (or New York) and Springfield. Is it possible by Amtrak? Would love advice.
I am thinking of moving to St Louis in a year or two and would like to spend some time there in 1 or 2 month intervals before then. I'm told that I will probably like the Central West End. Does anyone know of any furnished short term rentals in that area or nearer Forest Park? Only need a studio or 1 bedroom apartment. Would prefer a private entrance.
I will be attending events in suburban St.Louis the first weekend of October. Rather than stay in a suburban motel, I thought I might stay "downtown" (whatever that means) and walk around the city during the days. Is there anything special that I should not miss? Is there some area that's particularly interesting to walk around?
I plan to travel to St Louis MO from Minneapolis MN by car. Want to visit the Arch, City Gardens and probably cahokia mounds. As we travel via Iowa, wanted to know whether any good places that we can visit on the way there. Also is it worth travelling to cahokia mounds. Any other suggestions on visiting places in St Louis also will be helpful.

Hello,I am an out of state admissions counselor from a small art college. I will be visiting St. Louis this Fall and don't know the area at all. I am wondering which High Schools I should visit while I am there. They can be in St. Louis or a little outside of the city. I am looking for schools with a strong art programs and higher achieving students. Thank you!
Hi, My boyfriend and I are considering a visit to Guam this July. We are Chinese and we want to have a different wedding in one of the Chapels. But we have some questions. Please can anyone give us some advise? 1) We are not Catholic. Is it possible for us to have a ceremony in the Chapel? 2) I heard that some hotels there provide wedding ceremony services. Could anyone tell me how I can get in touch with one of them, since I want to consult about the details? We also will have a 2-day trip around the island. Is it convenient for us to travel around by bus or subway? Do buses reach most tourist sites, such as Two Lover's Point? Thanks in advance for your answers. Shirly
I will be moving to St Louis in late May / Early June for a career move. I've been told it's a great area but being a single woman, there are areas I should watch out for. I've lived the past two years in Pioneer Square of Seattle, so I'm used to a large amount of homeless people and a drug deal or two but not much beyond that. I will be working in the central downtown area, right by the arch (my company is about 4 blocks from the arch). I will not have a car. Any advice? I'm being told by some family that some of the great apartments I've found for cheap are also in really shady areas... Thanks!
What is the best way to get from Union Station to the Drury Inn in Chesterfield (aside from renting a car and driving)?
Two adults looking for a nice place to stay while in Branson. Prefer a smaller,$75.00 a night motel with pool. I don't know if staying on the strip is good or bad. Please advise.
The wife & I are going to see the Chiefs-Dolphins game next fall with a group of other Dolphins fans. (The NFL won't release the schedule until April, so we could be going anytime from September to December.) Someone else is coordinating the tickets & hotels for the group, so I want to know about restaurants & brewpubs. We're going to be arriving (driving in from St. Louis) early Saturday afternoon, and I'd like to know of a nice steakhouse and/or BBQ place to hit for dinner that night. I'm also looking for a brewpub to hit either before or after the game on Sunday.
We need assistance/advice on the safest places to live in St. Louis
We will be in KC at Christmas for the first time in 25 years and look forward to seeing the Plaza lights again (I use to live about 10 blocks from the Plaza). My favorite place to view the lights was at the top of the Seville hotel (that really dates me, since I think it's changed hands several times and is now the InterContinental). I don't think there's a top floor bar/restaurant there any more. Can someone suggest a restaurant or bar that's high up that will provide a great view of the lights? We plan to have dinner at the Raphael Christmas eve, but that's on the ground floor. Thanks for any and all suggestions!
Is there shuttle service from the plaza to the chiefs games?
I am coming to Saint Louis at the beginning of October and would like to go canoeing. How is Meramec park? Are there many tourist? How does it compare with Jack's fork or current? The latter seems that it would me more intimate scenery and maybe less crowded? We would like to overnight in a cabin along the river. thank you for any information you would have.
