by glenn57 Online Now Feb 9, 2010 at 4:59 PM

Can anyone suggest a reasonably-priced hotel in Minsk (under60 per night), that would also provide visa support (invitation letter) ?

Thanks, but looking at the prices, I see these hotels are both quite expensive. I really can't spend more than60 per night.

Amalker, what do you mean? Do you need registration? For glenn57: Within 3 business days of your arrival in Belarus, please inform the local Citizenship & Migration Department Office of the Ministry of Interior (Passport & Visa Office) of your address and duration of stay and have your passport registered. If staying in a hotel, arrange your registration through the hotel customer service (reception desk) at check -in. Citizens of the US and some other countries, who applies for private visa to the Republic of Belarus valid through 30 days or less do not need to provide any letters of invitation. Still, the inviting person's first and last names and home address must be indicated in the visa application form.

    > please inform the local Citizenship & Migration Department Office of the Ministry of Interior (Passport & Visa Office) of your address and duration of stay and have your passport registered. Not inform, but personal visit together with owner of flat, and paying state fee (not in office, you have visit bank). If you do not have inshurance, you have to buy one (most of foreign inshurance certificate are not recognized here). So in total, it may take within half a day. In hotels, you get it instant and free of charge. Summary: if you leave Belarus within 3 days, shoud'nt care. Take hotel, apartmant. If little more - better hotel or prepare to pay penalty on border. If you stay for long, you may rent apartment. About invitations: EU and several other citizens are no need invitations for apply bussines or guest visa. You only need personal data of a person who invite you. But person must be ready to approve your invitatin. But consular fee for guest, bussines and tourist fee different (not shure, after NY consulate changed rules, so better check your local consulate). Tourist was most cheap. But you need tourist voucher. It may arranged via travel agency who have belarus partners. Thats it
